The elegant Birthplace of Juliette Low will open for special evening tours. See the grand home in the glittering low light of the gaslight era, and let imagination transport you back to the past. The historic house is a must see destination for Savannah' visitors, especially for rare evening tours. So travel back to 1886 and the gaslight era.   Tickets $15 at the door, $13 pre-paid with a reservation

The Girl Scout Movement

Discover how Juliette Gordon Low, known for funny and unusual antics, artistic talent and disorganization came to founded the world's largest organization for Girls and Women. Using primary sources from archives, expert professional staff lead a fascinating tour of the Birthplace focusing specifically on the amazing history of the Girl Scouts. The tour includes a special viewing of the Girl Scout collection which includes uniforms, insignia, books and more. The manager of the Birthplace Archives and Girl Scout collections leads this lively in-depth tour.

Explore Savannah’s Civil War experience.

From battles to surrender, shortages and trials, through the visit of Union General William Tecumseh Sherman, the story is always engaging. Like many American families, the Gordons had friends and family fighting on both sides of the conflict.
