Come Right Over: 100 Years of Girl Scouting, Sojourn in Savannah Reunion IV, May 4-6, 2012
For Girl Scout adults, what better way to celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting than by coming to where it all started? In 1997, 2002 and 2006 we held Sojourn reunions, and it’s time once again to register for the Sojourn in Savannah Reunion! Whether this is your first Sojourn reunion or your fourth, Come Right Over for a rollicking good time, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Founding of Girl Scouting!
In May 2012, Sojourn Again will celebrate on the eventful months in 1912. A highlight of the reunions has been a dramatic reading of letters and diaries from the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace archives by Fran Harold and Katherine Keena. Once again in 2012, unpublished letters by Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scout pioneers and her family will be presented. Sojourners will also have the opportunity to participate in fun activities to commemorate the 100th and renew familiarity with Juliette Low’s Savannah -- what better way to celebrate and to enjoy the best Savannah has to offer!!
The cost for the Sojourn Reunion IV is $400 (discounts for Birthplace Circle of Friends members and for payment in full by May 2011).
Programs at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace will include early Girl Scout Activities, sessions about uniforms, handbooks, insignia and collections, and of course a tour of the historic house.
We will host a reception in one of Savannah’s many historic sites as well all Sojourners will receive tickets to see a show at the Savannah Theatre, where Daisy made her acting debut at age four. Attendees also receive tickets to the Girl Scout First Headquarters and the Andrew Low House.
The event fee will cover all admissions and tickets to the Birthplace, theatre, other sessions and historic sites, the keynote breakfast banquet, a fun evening party at a historic site, and special gifts. Transportation and lodging are not included.

So whether you are curious about what the first Girl Scouts loved best, or how the Girl Scouts helped the nation during World War I continued during the rough times of the depression and the patriotic demands of World War II, how the movement adapted for the Baby Boom, jumped into the age of technology and rang in a new century, this is the session for you!
