National Projects
Girl Scout Commemorative Coin
Bills were introduced in Congress in early 2009 to authorize the U.S. Mint to produce a silver Girl Scout coin. The centennial coin act was signed into law on October 29, 2009. The fundraising potential is $3.5 million, and these funds have been designated for development and enhancement of the Girl Scout program.
The event will take place from July 12-16, 2012 in Chicago, USA. The event will be hosted jointly by the Girl Scouts of the USA and WAGGGS. Girl participants will be given an amazing opportunity to meet and interact with a global girl audience and look at the role they can play as global citizens.
