This October, history, horror, and the occult converge in a thrilling new lecture series: Monsters and Manuscripts. The Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace Museum is pleased to present this compelling lecture series that delves into themes of identity, gender, and societal transformation during the Progressive Era, examined through the lens of horror literature, folklore, and spiritualism.
This three-part series is designed to engage a diverse audience ranging from local professionals and retirees to college students and cultural enthusiasts. Each lecture will be followed by a garden reception featuring themed refreshments and an opportunity to meet the speakers.
